Environmental Studies Series Speaker- CJ Freeman
Please join us on Friday, Oct. 28 at 12:20 p.m. in the Roon Lecture Hall, to hear '01 alum CJ Freeman give a talk on "Beaches, Buildings and Bees: Building a community through science and sustainability". CJ is an Advanced Placement Environmental Science teacher at Floyd E. Kellam High School in Virginia Beach. He was recently recognized by the White House and EPA with the 2016 Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators. Only 13 awards of this kind were given out nationwide in 2016.
Entrepreneurship Expert on Campus

Oct. 31 A Spooktacular Halloween Concert
Attention all Ghosts, Goblins and Ghouls, come as you are or dress for the occasion. A special Halloween concert with the AU Orchestra, complete with Booke Harris as our Monster of Ceremonies is one of Alfred's favorite shows. This free concert will be held in Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall beginning at 8:00 pm- Per-concert Cartoons begin at 7:45.

Grad School Application Writing Workship

Wednesday’s yoga class this week will be taught by Jami Snyder. Jami has taught vinyasa yoga and Pilates Mat for over 10 years. She has studied extensively with master teachers such as Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Saul David Raye, and many more. Her classes and workshops typically focus on thoughtful sequencing and attention to alignment, and her intention is to allow each individual to explore their practice with humor, joy, and compassion. El cafecito: Las tapas de España

Please join El cafecito, AU’s Spanish Culture and Conversation Club, to practice your Spanish speaking skills while enjoying tapas! Tapas are appetizers, snacks or small plates served in cafés and bars throughout Spain. Our tapas items may include Ibérico ham, Manchego cheese, olives, Spanish tortilla, Anchovies with toast and potatoes with Brava sauce.
