Wingate Memorial Carillon Recitals
- Location: Davis Memorial Carillon
- Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Bring a chair, and enjoy the music of the carillon. The recitals are free, and go on rain or shine.

July 26 Toru Takao
Takao, a native of Japan, fell in love with the carillon while studying in Europe. A winner of several international carillon competitions, he lives in Germany and promotes the German and Japanese carillon cultures. His program will include classical works by Strauss, Mozart and Saint-Saens, the Japanese folk song "Sakura", a medley of tunes from Japanese animation, "The Entertainer" by Joplin, and "I Got Rhythm" by Gershwin. Time: 7 pm

ROCHESTER, NY – Li’l Alf, the mascot for Alfred University, fresh from a second-place finish in a national competition for the best mascot in Division III of the NCAA, will be on hand for the Rochester Rhinos home soccer game on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Derek Chung, 16, from Lincolnshire, IL, is the 2016 “Young Pianist Competition” Grand Prize Winner announced at the MostArts Festival Gala Concert at Alfred University.

07-Jul-16 — McConnell's work featured at Smithsonian gallery exhibition

Chinamania, featuring works by Walter McConnell '86, professor of ceramic art in the School of Art & Design at Alfred University, opens Friday, July 8, at the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery at the Freer/Sackler, The Smithsonian’s Museum of Asian Art, with an open house from 5:30-8 p.m.
