Open Meeting with Mark Zupan
ATS Council is sponsoring an open meeting with Mark Zupan on Tuesday, September 27 at 12:00 pm in Nevins. President Zupan will talk about the role of administrators and technical specialists within the organization and give a first inning assessment of where we are and where we are going. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. All are welcome.

AN ADULT EVENING OF SHEL SILVERSTEIN is a rowdy, raucous, and, yes, raunchy play. Tickets are available for Wed. Sept. 21, Thurs. Sept. 22, Fri. Sept. 23, and Sat. Sept. 24. Lions Stearns Chicken BBQ
- Location: Union University Church Center
- Time: 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM
On Saturday the 24th, come to the Union University Church Center on the corner of Main and Church to get your Stearns Chicken BBQ (half chicken, beans, potato salad, roll, and beverage) or just pick up a half chicken. Delicious!

Serving starts at 11 and goes until we are sold out. Pies are also available through the Baker’s Bridge Historical Association.

’An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein’
- Location: CD Smith III Theatre

’An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein’ by Shel Silverstein. Irreverent and darkly humorous, this compilation of ten very short plays introduces us to near-bag ladies and indulgent but possibly dangerous fathers in this wild ride through the clever mind of one of America’s most loved poets. Presented by the Division of Performing Arts. in CD Smith III Theatre at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are required. Prices are $10 general admission, $5 for senior citizens and non-AU students, $2 for AU students. Reservations may be made by emailing or visiting the link below.
Fall Bonfire

The Newman Club is hosting a fall bonfire, and ALL are invited to attend! It will be held on a nearby sheep farm, and so is a great opportunity to get off campus for the night.

We will be roasting hot dogs and making s’mores!

Please sign up via email or on our website by Wednesday, Sept. 21 so we can provide enough rides. If you are willing to help with driving, please let us know - it would be very much appreciated!

23-Sep-16 — ‘A girl in the room:’ Alfred University alumna to talk about women in science fields

Shihadah “Shay” Saleem, a 2001 alumna with a bachelor’s degree in geology, will present the Sept. 30 talk in the Environmental Studies Speakers Series at Alfred University. Her topic is “A girl in the room: A peek into girls and women in STEM” (Science, technology, engineering or mathematics). The lecture is scheduled for 12:20 p.m. in Room 247 of the Science Center, and is open to the public, free of charge.
